- Dance to rock and roll, oldies and big band music
- No strenuous 'hoofer' tap moves (like wings and pull-backs)
- Open to adults women of all ages - previous dance training is not required
Did you love tap when you were in dancing school?
Do you wish you could tap dance GRACEFULLY like in the old movies?
This is the class for you! Learn to move from your core and
improve your balance. |We use ARMS and teach fundamental tap dancing
footwork, along with combining steps in enjoyable dance routines.
You may come to the first class in leather-sole shoes (preferably with a
small heel) if you do not have tap shoes. We will provide
information about where to buy tap shoes, price, etc.
Depending on class size and interest, we may later add an advanced tap class and/or a co-ed class.

About the instructor:
Barbara Carr danced professionally with
the Manhattan Rockets, a New York-based precision tap dance troupe touring
the U.S. and Canada. She is an experienced dance and exercise
instructor, having taught classes including Body Dynamics in Continuing
Education at Ohio University and Oglebay Institute in Wheeling, WV.
Barbara worked her way through years of
dance classes by teaching ballet in her teenage years, and she has happily
taught and enjoyed tap classes at a variety of schools throughout her life.
