the ‘Beyond Ordinary’ Networker
s course.
by Martin Brossman

Want to enrich your career or business with a deeper level of commitment, service & prosperity in the year ahead?  Begin with these proven networking strategies…

1 Come from contribution
Ask yourself “how can I help great people meet and connect with other great people?”  Look for those who are sincere and confident in their abilities, just as you are.

 2. Build lasting relationships
Investing time creates payoffs that last. Nurture both new and old relationships. Applaud them when they succeed and console them when they don’t.

3.  Seek out connections
Make a committed effort to think about others when meeting new people. Carry a palm pilot or business card book that lists all the ‘good people.’Remember, if we don’t invest time in referring others, why should someone refer us?

4.  Pursue feedback
Your name goes with your referrals.
It lets the recipient know how well-tested this referral is, in an honest and positive way. Everyone would like to have feedback from the person or ’business they have referred.

5. Cultivate clarity
Explain what you do in simple terms.  Make every effort to understand the other person’s business or product so that you can make an effective referral.

6. Develop allies
Build relationships with people in comp– lementary fields, creating opportunity for ongoing referrals back & forth
.

7.  Represent a vibrant life
Look for ways to enhance your passion for life.  Ideas to start you thinking: volunteer with the Chamber, take a course, get in evolved with a charity you are touch by, enjoy a hobby, or assist with a leads group. Often something that involves some level of mastery is more fulfilling.

8.  See yourself helping
Every encounter can be a networking opportunity, so be aware of creating a positive impression wherever you are.

9.  Strive for quality
At networking events get to know a few people well. Learn specifics.  Have a sincere desire to share interests.

10.  Honor your intention
Integrity is the core of success. Do what you say you are going to do.  Only sell products or services worthy of your word.  Let your best self shine for a prosperous new year!
